How do you get Internet on a dell laptop?

I have a dell laptop and want to get bell south internet on it. I have bell south on the family computer.|||Okay since your family has Bell South DSL, my assumption is maybe they provided combo DSL modem and wireless router %26lt;= if not, then you would need the wireless router if your Dell Notebook has a WiFi adaptor.

Assuming your home was wireless router and your Dell Notebook PC has WiFi, then if your Notebook did NOT automatically detect the surrounding wireless signals

1st I would click on the CONTROL PANEL of your NOTEBOOK/LAPTOP PC and then NETWORK CONNECTIONS to see what Networks exactly does your Notebook PC detects? The screen should show all your existing connections...

NEXT in the CONTROL PANEL I would view your HARDWARE DEVICES to see if your WiFi adaptor is properly installed looking to see whether any Yellow Exclamation Marks are shown.

If you have had problems and know it does NOT work properly, I would delete/remove the built-it WiFi driver(s) from Control Panel ADD/REMOVE software then next hopefully your have the UTILITY DRVERS CD to click %26amp; install a fresh set of WiFi drivers...or you might want to visit Dell Technical Support website might have the WiFI drivers available %26lt;= if so, you would have to connect your Notebook PC via CAT 5, 5e or 6 ethernet cable to download the drivers.

You might also want to create a DOWNLOAD FOLDER, to save this WiFi driver file to so you can you run and install the WiFi driver, and next REBOOT where if you installed everything properly, it should detect all WiFi Networks it senses where the next step would be to Click and Connect on the Home Network you created and can identify with..

Best of Luck!|||you need a wireless access point|||wireless router
