What is the dell master password for an inspiron 1501?

I recently bought a used dell inspiron 1501 laptop from a friend but the bios has a password that he doesn't know. Please help if you know what to do.|||bios锛?br>

Dell Technical Support will request the Service Tag and Express Service Code from the bottom of your Inspiron.





If you were not the original owner of the Inspiron, Dell will transfer registration of the used Inspiron from the original owner with only the Service Tag and Express Service Code from the tag on the laptop.





To transfer the registration of a used Dell Inspiron, fill out the Transfer of Ownership form on Dell's web site.|||The only way to do this is with a master reset and you cannot do this yourself. Some local computer repair shops may offer this service at a high price (not many doing it now) the best way is via Dell.|||Any computer shop knows how to clear the BIOS with a jumper on the motherboard. If you are not comfortabl doing it yourself, get it done, or pursue the master password.
